Home Security Systems in Memphis, Tennessee More Necessary as Crime Rate Soars

It looks like home security systems in Memphis, Tennessee are more needed than ever before, if data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is any indication of the current crime rate there. The latest crime rate data reports ranked Memphis fifth among U.S. cities in terms of violent crime rate. The FBI report covered the first half of 2012. In a report by Jane Donahoe of the Memphis Business Journal, Memphis’s violent crime rate was at 871.88 crimes per 100,000 residents. On a national level, only four cities were ahead of Memphis: Flint and Detroit in Michigan; St. Louis in Missouri; and Oakland in California. Some private camps blame loose gun laws for the proliferation of unlicensed and unregulated firearms and weapons, as well as the increase in the violent crime rate index.
